Surradia: A Feline Caper - Solution
A downloadable project
Thank you for playing Surradia: A Feline Caper! And the solution...
How?
- From the poem, we know that one of the cat's names in Felix. He's owned by Vivian and he has green eyes.
- From the note on the right, we see that one of the humans is named Adele and her cat is female. We also learn that there is another cat named Bellatrix who is not owned by Adele, and who is possibly deaf.
- From the top drawing, we see that the third owner is named Leonor. Leonor must own Bellatrix, and Bellatrix must be either the black cat or the white cat.
- From the cat photo, we see that the third cat's name (Daisy) is on the basket. Daisy must be Adele's cat.
- From the note on the left, we know that the cat that knocked over the turpentine is male. Therefore it isn't Daisy.
- From the book, we learn that the calico cat must be female. We also learn that blue-eyed white cats are often deaf, and that some cats have more than four toes.
- From the bottom drawing, we see that one of the cats has blue eyes and extra toes. This can't be Felix, who has green eyes.
- From the photo of the desk, we see that the cat that knocked over the turpentine has four toes. This can't be the blue-eyed cat, who has extra toes, and it can't be the calico cat, who is female. Therefore it must be the black cat.
- Since blue-eyed white cats are deaf, Bellatrix must be the white cat. Adele's cat, Daisy, is female and therefore can't be the black cat. So Daisy must be the calico and Felix must be the black cat.
